In the morning, 07:00am our tour guide and driver will pick you up at hotel lobby. Depart to Hue City, starting Hue City Group Tour. Heading to the North of Da Nang City, we will go over Hai Van Pass – The Sea Cloudy Pass with 20km of length. This pass is natural border between Da Nang City and Thua Thien Hue Province. We will make a stop at the top of the pass. You can enjoy the fresh air, take many beautiful photos and enjoy panorama view of Da Nang City from 500m above sea level.
Depart to Hue City! On the way, we can take a short rest at Lap An Lagoon. At this rest stop, you can enjoy the beautiful view of Lap An Lagoon, free your feet by walking on sand islet and drink a cup of Vietnamese coffee before heading to Hue City.
Upon arrival Hue, the first place we will visit is Tu Duc Tomb. It’s located 8km from the center of Hue, is situated on Duong Xuan Thuong village on the bank of the Perfume River. This tomb is the mausoleum of Tu Duc – The 4th emperor of Nguyen Dynasty. Construction of the tomb in an enclosure of 475 ha started in 1864 and was completed in 1887. The tomb, also called Tomb of Modesty, is enclosed by a thick wall that runs up and down the hills. There are several other buildings suitable for the emperor’s residence.
Continue to city center, we will take a dragon boat trip to visit Thien Mu Pagoda. The oldest pagoda in Hue was built by the governor of the city, Nguyen Hoang, in 1601. He had a vision in which an old woman was telling him that the site had supernatural powers and that a pagoda should mark the site. Emperor Thieu Tri later annexed a 7-storey, 21m octagonal tower in 1844. The complex includes 2 zones: the towers are in front and the temples are in the back. Have lunch at local restaurant!
In the afternoon, depart to visit Imperial Citadel – where 13 emperors of Nguyen Dynasty used to work and live. We will visit in turn of: Nine Holy Canon, Ngo Mon Gate, Court Yard, Thai Hoa Palace, The Temple and the Forbidden Purple City. This construction started in 1805 under the reign of Emperor Gia Long and completed in 1832 under the reign of Emperor Minh Mang. Under Nguyen’s reign, the Emperors ordered to build ramparts, palaces and constructional works for royal.
Transfer back to hotel in Hoi An. End of service!
