MARBLE MOUNTAINS AND MONKEY MOUNTAIN GROUP TOUR
In the morning, 07:30am – 08:00am Hoi An Private Transfer tour guide and driver will pick you up at hotel lobby. Depart to Da Nang City, starting Marble Mountains and Monkey Mountain Group Tour. Firstly, we will visit Monkey Mountain on Son Tra Peninsula – The green lung of Da Nang City. We will enjoy panorama view of Da Nang from high position. On the way, we can stop to take a photo at Man Thai Fishing Village. Taking photo with beautiful beach here. Come and see the basket boat of local fishing-man. If we are lucky, we can see the local people pulling the fishing net on the seashore. On Monkey Mountain, you will visit Linh Ung Pagoda and the highest Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva (Lady Buddha) statue in Vietnam – 67m. There are many monkey around the pagoda. It explains for the name of this mountain: Monkey Mountain.
Transfer to Marble Mountains. Upon arrival, we will visit Stone Carving Village at the foot of mountain with many local stone sculpture workshops. Our guide will introduce about history of Stone Carving Village and conception of Vietnamese about marble stone. The guide can describe and explain the meaning of some typical stone statues here. Next, we can see how local people make sculpture from marble stone by hand. Here is the most impressive handicraft village in Da Nang City.
Continue to visit Am Phu Cave (The Hell Cave). We will learn many interesting philosophies of Buddhism. By many stories, the tour guide will help you can imagine where people go and what people do after they pass away. Besides that, you will know the punishment for all wicked people when they die and go to the hell.
Keep going to visit Marble Mountains. It’s a cluster of 5 limestone mountains were named by 5 elements: fire, water, wood, earth and metal. Let’s do an exercise to conquer 156 stone steps of Water Mountain – The highest mountain here to see many beautiful caves and sacred pagodas. If you are lazy, using elevator is a good idea (by your own cost).
Have soft lunch at a local restaurant with authentic Vietnamese cuisine – Mì Quảng (Quang Noodle). Transfer back to your hotel in Hoi An. End of service!
